The Wachtbausaal is located in the immediate castle grounds and is one of the largest and most impressive halls in Büdingen Castle. With its cross vault and two octagonal late Gothic columns, its size of approx. 235 square meters makes it ideal for larger festivities and events such as weddings, seminars and exhibitions. A crackling fire in the open fireplace provides an additional "warm" and pleasant atmosphere in the evening or in winter.

Bordered to the east by the tithe barn is the barn, a former farm building from the 18th century. With its large barn doors, it was once used to store the harvests from the farms. Sturdy oak pillars and rustic sandstone walls frame the spacious room, which can be used for indoor and outdoor celebrations in the adjoining park - a unique combination!

The circular area in front of it, which was once a riding arena, is framed on one side by the walls of the castle and on the other by the rustic walls of the former farm buildings. The dreamy garden with its old trees, bushes and magnolias as well as the unique view of the castle immediately gives every guest a feeling of security. The barn/stables and former riding arena also provide an exceptional setting for festivities, exhibitions, concerts and other events.

In the age of the horse, which determined the rhythm of human communication and economic activity for centuries, stables and stables for carriages and wagons played a major role. From the early Baroque period onwards, they also played a representative role. This was also the case at Büdingen Castle, where Count Wolfgang Ernst I zu Ysenburg had a new stable of generous dimensions built in 1610. The name contains the word = marah = horse.

The ground floor housed workshops, coachmen's rooms and mainly stables. One of the stables has been preserved and gives an impression of how the noble mounts found a thoroughly princely domicile here. Today, these rooms with their high ceilings are ideal for festivities in a rustic, yet cultivated and warm atmosphere.

The historic stables, once the home of a Trakehner stud in Büdingen Castle, have been extensively renovated and now shine in their former glory. The stables in which the white horse "Hein Mück" once stood can now be used for festivities of a very special kind. Each horse box offers the possibility of a "separate" but "open" area. Here your guests can experience an event with an original and unforgettable flair. The stables with their high, arched wooden gates convey a noble character and offer a charming setting for smaller celebrations.

Just like the Büdingen castle, which was built at the end of the 12th century, the mill located nearby on the Seemenbach stream is likely to be the same. It is mentioned in writings as early as 1318 in the possession of heirs of the extinct Lords of Büdingen. In 1399 it is called "die mule zu Webiss by Büdingen dem Schloss gelegen".

Strangely enough, it is one of the royal fiefs of the Electoral Palatinate in the Wetterau and thus probably one of the possessions that Emperor Barbarossa gave to his brother Konrad, Count Palatine of the Rhine, which could be derived from the name of a miller. The gastronomic career of the castle mill began in the mid-1970s. It used to be known as a music pub. Today it is used for all kinds of festivities, birthdays, barbecues and other events.
